Greensburg —
Aspen Place Health Campus was very creative with their efforts to raise funds for the Decatur County United Fund in 2012.
Erin Allen, Community Services Representative, shared, “Aspen Place Health Campus conducted several holiday fundraisers to help the United Fund because the dollars benefit so many different organizations. We knew through them we could reach many people. The United Fund is an amazing asset to our community.”
Aspen Place raised $5,113.54 for the Decatur County United Fund. They raffled a hog with processing and a freezer for a $20.00 chance. The winner, Roy Robbins, was selected on the air of WTRE Dec. 10. They also held several raffles, the flocking of pink flamingo’s event, a dodge ball tournament, and employees graciously donated their own PTO times.
Christopher Fields, Executive Director of Aspen Place noted, “I am very proud of our campus and their efforts. Everyone was excited and wanted to help, and as a leader that means a lot. We look forward to working with the United Fund in the future.”
Joane Cunningham, Executive Director of the United Fund, added, “It is great to have new organizations, like Aspen Place, become a part of the United Fund and to better understand the benefits of the many programs provided by the 21 non-profits serving Decatur County. We liked their creativity incorporated into raising dollars for the campaign.”
Donations to the Decatur County United Fund can be mailed any time throughout the year to 108 S. Broadway, Suite 1, Greensburg.
