Greensburg —
A single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Greensburg woman Saturday morning.
According to information from the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, Laura Allen, 37, was killed when her 1997 GMC Jimmy left the west side of State Road 3 and rolled multiple times, coming to rest upside-down in a wooded area. Allen was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities believe she died of blunt force trauma to the head and neck.
The accident occurred just before 7 a.m. Saturday. Agencies responding included the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department, Decatur County EMS, Greensburg Fire Department, Letts Volunteer Fire Department and the Burney Volunteer Fire Department.

Both Decatur County residents elected to donate several inches of their hair to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that fashions hairpieces for children suffering long-term hair loss.
