Greensburg —
A Connersville woman was transported to Decatur County Memorial Hospital Thursday morning following an automobile accident in the CVS parking lot.
According to an accident report from the Greensburg Police Department, at about 9:53 a.m., Andrea Adams, 27, was southbound on Lincoln Street when she left the roadway in her Dodge Durango, running through an exit sign and striking two parked vehicles and running over an exit sign.
Adams initially struck a 2009 Nissan Murano belonging to Alan and Rhonda Cohee of Rushville, then impacted a 2002 Chevy SC1 owned by William Schoettmer of Greensburg.
Schoettmer’s truck then collided with a 2002 Chevy Impala owned by Melvin Cathey of Greensburg. The respective vehicle’s owners were shopping at CVS at the time of the crash. The vehicles were all parked and unoccupied.
Investigators had not yet determined a cause of the crash by Thursday afternoon. Adams was taken to DCMH by ambulance after complaining of pain in her knee and lower leg. Her condition following treatment was not known at press time.
GPD Officer Jarrod McCalvin and GPD Captain Dennis Blodgett were assisted at the scene by Greensburg Fire Engine 11 and members of Decatur County EMS.
Investigators estimated the damage total to range from $25,000 to $50,000.
