Greensburg —
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Abrell of Greensburg are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Laura to Roger Simmonds of Greensburg.
The groom is the son of the late John T. Simmonds and grandson of Rita M. and the late Robert E. Simmonds.
The couple exchanged vows June 30, 2012 in an outdoor ceremony at the home of Steve and Diane Simmonds.
The bride wore an ivory lace gown with a green sash to honor her maternal grandmother. She was escorted down the aisle by her father. The bridal party included two bridesmaids: Jill Abrell, sister of the bride, and Courtney Hime, friend of the bride; flower girl Alexandrite Simmonds, cousin of the groom; two groomsmen: Brett McCoy, cousin of the groom, and Brady McCoy, cousin of the groom; ring-bearer Nevin Mitchell, nephew of the bride; two ushers: Corden Simmonds, cousin of the groom, and Zackary Simmonds, cousin of the groom.
The BrideÕs attendants and the groomsmen wore blue. The couple was wed by Pastor Keith Dover of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Adams.
Shirley Doles of Greensburg provided the music for the ceremony.
The ceremony was beautiful, despite the heat and lack of rain, and a reception at the Knights of St. John in Greensburg followed.
The newlyweds enjoyed a honeymoon in Florida, and now reside at their new home in Adams.
