Finishing the scoring for the Chargers was Addy Osting with one point.
North seventh girls fall
The North girls seventh graders traveled to Jac-Cen-Del Tuesday night to take on the Eagles, falling 28-26.
North carried an 8-4 lead into the second quarter and led 12-9 at halftime. However, JCD outscored North 14-6 to go up 23-18. North took an 8-5 edge in the final quarter, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit. Sarah Bohman had a clean look at the basket for the tie at the end of the game, but just could not get it to fall.
Chuck Shafer, North’s seventh grade coach, said he was very happy with his team.
“They all played hard and never gave up,” he said. “For our first game of the year we did okay. That was JCD’s third game and I believe that made the difference tonight.”
Rhegan Day led North with 16 points. Paige Howell followed with six and Emily Daugherty chipped in four.
Morgen Carroll led JCD with 20 points.
