Pirate ‘7A’ Boys Fall To Bulldogs At Home

Greensburg — The Greensburg 7A boys basketball team hosted Batesville with a 39-31 loss.

The Pirates led after the opening quarter 8-4. They held the lead, at 14-11, with a layup by Welage at the horn.

Batesville took control in the third period, outscoring the Pirates 19-8, to lead 30-23.

Ryan Welage had 14 points, Austin Hayden 11 points, Josiah Buell four points and Cody Bausback finished with two points. Welage had nine boards and Buell pulled down four. Hayden led in assists with three, followed by Buell and Welage with two each. Hayden also had four steals while Welage picked off three.

Batesville was led in scoring by Kaiser with 19 points, followed by Hoeing’s 10 points.
