Greensburg — The Greensburg junior high wrestling team returned to the Tree City as runner-up at the Franklin County Invitational Tournament.
“The Pirates wrestled very well,” said coach Matt Cochran.
Greensburg brought 16 wrestlers to the 20-wrestler event and 14 of the 16 wrestlers placed in the top four of their weight classes.
Champions were Blake Butz, Joel Chase, Corey Hitch, Colten Black, and Jacob Kelso. Black finished the season with a perfect 13-0 record. Dakota Deiwert and Devin Ruble were runner-up. Brandon Butz, Taylor Reed, Blake Wood, Joe Buening, and Drew Neisius finished in third place. Derrick Manuel and Matt Scheumann were in fourth place.
