The Greensburg Junior High wrestlers wrapped up their dual meet season Thursday night with a convincing 66-30 against Benjamin Rush Middle School.
The Pirates finished with a 10-4 record and will be one of the favorites to win the Franklin County tournament Saturday, according to coach Matt Cochran.
Winning matches for the Pirates were Brandon Butz, Kyle Howard, Taylor Reed, Blake Wood, Joel Chase, Derrick Manuel, Matt Scheumann, Bryce Bennett, Colten Black, Jacob Kelso, and Brizavit Estrada. Blake Butz and Dakota Deiwert won by forfeit.
Winning exhibition matches for the Pirates were Scott Dorsett, Dakota Deiwert, Jacob Hempstead, Derrick Manuel, Colten Black, Doug Cain and Matt Scheumann.
The Pirates’ last event is the Franklin County Invitational Tournament on Saturday. Wrestling begins at 10:30 a.m. at Franklin County High School.
