Connersville — The Greensburg girls 7B team lost a very close one at Connersville Thursday night, 30-28.
"This game was a total team effort," reported Coach Andi McKee. "The scoreboard may not have given us the victory, but it went down as a victory for our team. I am very proud of every player who stepped on the floor."
In a game that was back-and-forth all night, Molly Redmon walked away with top scoring for the team with eight points, 10 rebounds, and three each of blocks and steals. Chelsea Hersley came off the bench with six points. Kalynne Asche and Abbey Denton both helped with four points. Cara Zeigler stepped up her play with two points, four rebounds and two assists. Danielle Schroeder and Sydney Reynolds chipped in two a piece. The Young Lady Pirates will look for that first win Monday night when they host Rushville.
