Connersville — The Greensburg girls ‘7A’ basketball team lost a hard fought game at Connersville Thursday night, 39-22.
"The score absolutely does not do the game justice,” said Pirate head coach Pete Brown. “The girls played extremely well and played them tough, and it was a lot closer than the final score showed. I am extremely proud of the girls and how hard they played tonight.”
The Pirates were led on offense by Emma Wolter with 10 points, and Megan Schmidt added six points. Defensively, Jessica Banaschak had three blocks and three rebounds.
The Lady Pirates are in action again Monday against Rushville.
