Seventh Pirate Spikers Settle Into Action

Connersville — The Greensburg seventh grade volleyball team opened its season Aug. 24 at Connersville, falling in two games.

Scores:  11-25, 23-25.

Top Statistics:

Passing:  Mackenzie Kovacich 7-for-7; Allie Geis 5-for-5; Kelly Meyer 3-for-4; Britney Biltz 4-for-6.

Serves:  Allie Geis 6-for-7 with six aces; Whitney Tallent 3-for-3; Meyer & Biltz each 4-for-5 with 1 ace.

Sets:  Whitney Tallent 4-for-5; Mina Yanagihori 2-for-3.

Blocks:  Maddy Schroeder 4-for-4.



The Greensburg seventh grade volleyball team hosted St. Louis Tuesday, Aug. 31 and lost in three games.  

Scores:  15-25; 25-24; 0-15.
