Greensburg —
After a successful basketball season at all levels, the North Decatur girls basketball program came together last Tuesday to hand out its year-end awards for the junior high, junior varsity, and varsity teams.
The seventh grade ended its season with a 3-9 record, but according to Coach Shafer, “showed much improvement in the final four to five games.” The eighth grade ended its season with a 9-5 record, while the junior varsity team was 13-6 and the varsity was 14-9.
For the 7th grade:
Emily Dougherty (Highest Free Throw Percentage); Sarah Bohman (Most Improved); Kiara Nobbe (Miss Hustle); Rhegan Day (Mental Attitude).
For the 8th grade:
Olivia Siefert (Highest Free Throw Percentage); Casey Ogden (Most Improved); Chelsea Hitchcock (Miss Hustle); Ally Gauck (Mental Attitude).
For the junior varsity:
Laura Haunert (Mental Attitude); Alison Wallpe (Highest Free Throw Percentage); Morgan McKinney (Most Improved); Erin Yager (Miss Hustle).
For the varsity:
Jenna Meyer (Highest Field Goal percentage, Highest Free throw percentage, Most Rebounds, Most Steals, Most Valuable Player); Abby Lamb (Most 3-pointers made); Cindy Krieger (Outstanding Defensive Player); Mary Hughes (Most Assists); Veronica Yager (Most Improved); Lindsay Nobbe (Mental Attitude).
