SD girls basketball at Brown County, 6:30 p.m. (no JV game)
Wednesday
GB girls basketball vs Franklin, 6 p.m. JV start
Football regional at Lawrence North
The Greensburg football team will play Indianapolis Chatard on Friday, Nov. 9 starting at 7 p.m.
The game will be played at Lawrence North High School, located at 7802 N. Hague Road. The cost of the game will be $7.
Winter previews start this week
The season previews for winter sports will begin to appear this week.
The South Decatur and Greensburg girls basketball previews will be published in Wednesday’s print edition. South opens its season Tuesday night at Brown County. The varsity game will be at 6:30 p.m. because South does not have a junior varsity team.
North’s season preview will be published later this week.
Pirate girls open season tomorrow
Because of the football regional game involving Greensburg on Friday, Nov. 9, the Greensburg girls junior varsity and varsity basketball teams will host Franklin High School on Wednesday, Nov. 7. The junior varsity game will start at 6 p.m. and admission is $5.
Open gym offered at GCHS
The Decatur County Parks and Recreation Department is offering open gym at the GCHS Fieldhouse on Sundays from 5-9 p.m. Take advantage of this opportunity to play basketball, volleyball or walk on the indoor track.
This is being offered free of charge by the Parks and Recreation Department.

North football parents meeting Monday
All boys entering grades seven through 12 this fall at North Decatur, and planning on playing football for North this fall, there will be a parent meeting in the high school gym Monday.
