The Greensburg 7A Lady Pirates basketball team took home the championship trophy in a tournament at Greenfield Saturday, completing their season with a perfect 15-0 record.
The Lady Pirates played Rushville in their first game, winning 48-6.
Scoring for the Pirates was Kyra Whitaker with 13 points, three rebounds, four steals and three assists. Keirsten Lynette had 11 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots. Sierra Johnson added eight points and nine rebounds, while Kirstin Hersley had six points and two rebounds. Ashlynn Meyer scored three points and had three rebounds, three steals, one blocked shot and three assists. Bailey Meyer had three points, four rebounds, two steals and two assists. Cameron Jones chipped in two points, three steals, one blocked shot and two assists. Gracie Maxwell added two points, five rebounds and one blocked shot. Also, Ashley Bower pulled down three rebounds.
In the championship game, the Lady Pirates defeated Greenfield 40-33. Leading scorers were Kyra Whitaker and Keirsten Lynette with 12 points each. Kyra Whitaker lead the team with 5 steals, while Keirsten Lynette grabbed down her season high of 13 rebounds. Cameron Jones scored six points. Bailey Meyer added four points, six assists, and three rebounds, while Ashlynn Meyer chipped in 3 points and five rebounds. Gracie Maxwell scored two points, and Sierra Johnson added one point and five rebounds.
