Eighth ‘A’ Pirate Boys Return With Big Win

The Greensburg junior high boys basketball eighth A-Team traveled to Columbus Central Tuesday night and came home with a big victory.

Although head coach Phil Snodgress said he did not know what to expect, because the Pirates had been off since Dec. 15, he said they played well and defeated the Columbus boys 50-36.

Leading the Pirates in scoring was Sean Sellers with 21 points and 11 rebounds, Macy Holdsworth 16 points and a good floor game, Ethan Sebastian six points, Brad Wilson had five points and five rebounds, Kyle Colson had two points.

Tom Lawrence, Tye Fleetwood, and Eric Kroger all played but did not score. Jacob Kelso was not dressed tonight due to a back problem.

Scoring for Columbus were Wallace eight, Cowan and Coran each had seven, Patterson six, Eaton and Owens each had four.

The Pirates were scheduled to host Greendale Thursday.
