Edinburgh —
The South Decatur girls basketball team fought with hosting Edinburgh shot-for-shot Tuesday, but ended up falling short 53-51 in its third overtime game of the season.
South junior Ashley Johannigman hit a 3-pointer late in regulation to force a 47-all tie and send the game to overtime. It was Johannigman's third game-winning or overtime-forcing basket of the season.
The Lancers outscored South 6-4 in the extra session.
Milan is now 1-5 in the Mid-Hoosier Conference and 4-11 overall, while South falls to 0-6 in the MHC and 4-12 overall.
South fell to Trinity Lutheran 55-49 Saturday.
