The South Decatur boys basketball team defeated Hauser 83-78, recording double-digits in wins with a 10-4 record. The Cougars improve to 2-3 in the Mid-Hoosier Conference after dropping their first three conference games.
The 83 points also represents a season high, and the most South has scored since Jan. 10, 2009 - an 88-87 overtime win at Indian Creek. South also has surpassed last season's win total by two victories, with six games still remaining.
Four scored in double-figures for South. Junior Taylor Kopplin tallied a career-high 24 points. Senior Cameron Agnew scored 16, Byron Balser tallied 15 and senior Josh Miller added 13. Senior Jordan Hatton scored eight, while junior Andrew Wullenweber added five and junior Chris Johnannigman chipped in two.
South’s junior varsity team won 41-38.
