The North Decatur boys basketball team improved to 3-6 on the season with a 75-55 win over hosting Hauser Friday night. It was also the Chargers’ second conference win.
North, which improves to 3-6 on the season and 2-1 in the Mid-Hoosier Conference, outscored the Jets in each quarter. The Chargers led 33-22 at halftime and scored 21 points in each of the final two quarters.
Senior John Hammersmith scored a career-high 29 points for North. He shot 8-for-12 from the foul line.
Senior Jason Kirchhoff also scored a career high with 17 points, including a trio of 3-pointers. He shot 6-for-8 from the foul line.
Senior Kevin Geis added 12 points, including a pair of triples. Freshman Luke Badgley followed with seven, while junior Josh Weintraut and freshman Zach Johnson each hit a 3-pointer. Adding two apiece were junior Brock Ricke and senior Dylan Koors.
The junior varsity Chargers led Hauser 29-6 on their way to a 44-27 win. Donavan Meyer led his team with 10 points.

Scoring six apiece were Dayne Lecher and Andrew Hocker, while Matthew Laudick, Eric Moorman and Evan Wallpe each added five. Arek Holloway hit a 3-pointer, while Brian Williamson and Landon Crites each scoreed two.
