Regional ticket sales set
Greensburg High School will play Mt. Vernon (Fortville) in the semi-state at Richmond High School on Saturday, March 16.
Greensburg will play the second game following the 1 p.m. Class 2A Speedway-Linton Stockton game.
Tickets can be purchased in the Greensburg athletic office today (Thursday) from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., and until 12 noon tomorrow (Friday).
Tickets for the semi-state are $8.
Pep rally Friday for Pirate basketball
A pep session will take place Friday night for the Greensburg boys basketball team at the high school, enabling the community to give the Pirates a send-off for the Semi-State game Saturday.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the session will begin at 6 p.m.
DCGSA signups underway
The Decatur County Girls Softball Association is taking registrations for slow pitch and fast pitch softball this Saturday March 16 and March 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Armory (Park and Rec building).
Anyone with questions can call Phil Nobbe at 662-6511.
GYBL signups underway
Signups are set for the Greensburg Youth Baseball League. Signups will last through March 23 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The league will conduct signups on Tuesdays through March 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Signups will take place at the Decatur County Parks Department. Registrations are availabe at signup or at the Parks Department.

All 3 schools sending regional competitors
The Greensburg, South Decatur and North Decatur track and field teams turned in solid performances at the IHSAA Boys Track and Field Sectional meet at East Central Thursday.

The South Decatur varsity baseball team defeated host Crothersville 14-0 Friday night on the strength of senior Matt Gatewood’s nine runs batted in.

The Greensburg Junior High School girls track teams competed at the Sunman Dearborn Invitational May 7.

The Greensburg boys varsity golf team was victorious in a three-way match against Franklin County and Triton Central on the back nine at Greensburg Country Club.

Cougars win outright MHC on Senior Night
After snapping a 1-1 tie Thursday against visiting Morristown, the South Decatur baseball team clinched the outright conference title with a 10-3 win on Senior Night.
