Greensburg — The South Decatur varsity volleyball team won its first game against the Yellow Jackets, 25-21 Monday at home.

Johannigman's service ace tied the game at 21-all, then junior Keri Deck tallied a kill to put South ahead for good. Junior Michaela Johnson scored the clinching kills for the 25-21 win.

South enjoyed leads of 7-3 and 10-6 before falling behind on hitting errors. Despite a kill by senior Ashleigh Ewing to tie the second game at 23-all, and two more leads by South, Morristown took the second game 27-25 on three straight hitting errors.

The match ended too late for Tuesday's edition of The Daily News. For complete results, check back with the Daily News at www.greensburgdailynews.com/sports later this week.
