South boys at Bankers Life Jan. 3

The South Decatur boys basketball team will be playing Indian Creek in the Bankers Life Fieldhouse Challenge on Jan. 3 at noon. The game was originally scheduled for Jan. 5. The game is set to start at noon.

Tickets will go on sale Dec. 13, 14, 17 and 18 at South Decatur High School. Tickets for adults are $10. Tickets for second through eighth graders are $8. Tickets bought at Bankers Life will cost $12. All seats are general admission.



North boys ‘C’ team beats Lancers

The North ‘C’ team defeated Edinburgh 32-13. NOrth led 9-3 after the first quarter and 17-7 at halftime, then outscored the Lancers 8-1 in the fourth quarter.

Arek Holloway led North with nine points and nine rebounds. Donovan Meyer tallied eight points and five rebounds, while Justin Weisenbach scored seven points. Brian Williamson scored four, while Derek Hocker and Eric Moorman each added two.



Pirate frosh boys top South

The Greensburg boys freshman basketball team hosted South Decatur Tuesday and won 43-37.

Keegan McCullough led all scorers with 15 points. Chandler Deaton had 12, Peyton Buening put in 8, Spencer Burkert had 5, Jaden Smith added two, and Christian Dance chipped in one. The Pirates were scheduled to open conference play Thursday at South Dearborn.



Postponed Greensburg events scheduled

The wrestling dual meet at home against Jennings County will now be Tuesday, Dec. 18 with a 6 p.m. weigh-in.

The Greensburg girls junior varsity and varsity basketball games at home against South Dearborn are now Thursday, Dec. 20, starting at 6 p.m.

The boys ninth grade basketball game is Monday, Dec. 17. The boys will play after the Greensburg girls ninth graders at the Old Middle School in Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. The girls game starts at 6 p.m.
