Pirate 7B girls win
The Greensburg girls 7B basketball team beat St. Nicholas Tuesday 32-12.
The leading scorer was Gracie Maxwell with 12 points. Ashley Bower had 10 points. Kirstin Hersley had eight points and Abby Scheumann added two.
Pirate 8B girls fall
The Greensburg junior high 8B girls basketball team fell to St. Nicholas 27-12 Tuesday.
Callie Black led her team with eight points. Meghann Kress and Haylie Burton each chipped in two.
North eighth girls win
The North Decatur eighth grade girls team hosted Morristown and came a way with a 36-21 win.
“Tonight was another team win for the young Lady Chargers,” said North coach Phil Nobbe. “Everyone got into the game again tonight and played hard.”
Ally Gauck came out tonight and had a good game on both end of the court. She finished the game with 10 points nine rebounds and seven steals. Olivia Siefert finished the game with 13 points and five rebounds. Addy Osting scored eight points and had three steals.
Chelsea Hitchcock and Morgan Mauer each chipped in two points, while Emily McCorkle added one point.
North seventh girls fall
The North Decatur seventh grade girls basketball team hosted Morristown earlier this week. Morristown beat the Lady Chargers 29-18.
Emily Daugherty led North with seven points. Sarah Bohman scored four points, while Elixis Brandenberg added three. Jesse Closser and Rheagan Day each added two.
Lady Cougar JH splits
The South Decatur girls junior high basketball teams split with Southwestern (Shelby).
The South eighth graders won 32-27. Brooke Helms led the way with 22 points, six rebounds, six steals and two assists.
More scoring for South: Olivia Clarkson- 2 points; Sierra Deppe- 2 points and 4 rebounds; Delanie Diekhoff- 2 points and 13 rebounds; Mackenzie Kopplin- 2 points and 4 rebounds; Hannah Smith- 2 points.
The seventh graders fell 22-10.
Scorers for South: Kinsey Sample- 3 points, Taylor Best- 3 points, Tymesha Young- 3 points, Zoey Nobbe- 1 point and 5 steals.
