Greensburg —
Soccer fans, parents and family members alike propped up lawn chairs and basked in the soft glow of the setting sun Friday night at Washington Soccer Park in Greensburg.
The Decatur County Youth Soccer Club featured a showdown between the hosting DC1 Dynamites, sponsored by Standard Fertilizer, and the B4 Batesville team, sponsored by Kurtz Lawn Care.
The Eastern Indiana Soccer Association U-14 girls match was divided into a pair of 30-minute halves. The EISA is comprised of teams from Greensburg, Batesville and Sunman.
Kasey Moeller scored the only goal of the game with about three minutes left in the second half, giving the DC1 Dynamites the win.
"It was a good game, under the lights," said organizer and official Michael Connor. "It was a beautiful night for soccer."
