Greensburg —
Oldenburg Academy is excited to announce that the Board of Trustees has appointed Diane H. Laake to fill the position of President of the school.
Diane will serve as the chief executive officer of the Academy reporting directly to the Board of Trustees.
Diane comes to the Academy with extensive educational and professional qualifications. She has served as instructional leader and institutional chief operating officer of an independent, inter-parochial high school, effectively managing an annual budget of $5 million.
As a graduate of Our Lady of Angels High School and educated by the Sisters of St. Francis along with her work serving on the board of Franciscans Network and founding member, Diane possesses a strong passion for Franciscan Catholic education.
Diane holds a Master of Education from Northern Kentucky University, Administrative Certification and a Bachelor of Science from Xavier University.
In accepting the position, Laake stated, “Oldenburg Academy is an extraordinary institution. I was immediately impressed with the commitment to excellence, the genuine sense of hospitality and care, and an unparalleled dedication to service exhibited by the faculty, staff, students and their parents. The Academy is built on a solid foundation of faith and tradition — poised for an even greater future. We are going to be an awesome team!”
Members of the Academy are grateful to Diane for her willingness to assist with the transition of leadership. She will begin working with Sr. Therese on a part-time basis beginning April 1. Diane’s official start date as President of the Academy is July 1, 2013. Members of Oldenburg Academy are asking the public to join them in welcoming Diane Laake to the community.
