The Clinton Extension Homemakers met June 5 at the Fruchtnicht cabin for their annual family picnic with 18 members and 13 guests.
Richard Fruchtnicht offered prayer before the bountiful pitch-in meal.
Marilyn Davis conducted a bingo card game with 12 prizes awarded winners.
Connie Fruchtnicht presides over a brief business meeting.
For devotions she read an article, ÒGood for Grandmas.Ó
Dorothy Mahan gave the treasury balance.
Connie reported on attending the council meeting, and stated the clean up date at the fair is July 9 at 1 p.m. Clinton Club will be in charge of watching the building July 18 from 4 to 10 p.m.
Several members volunteered: Deb Greiwe, Connie and Donna Flint.
Ruth Flack reported that she had attended the leader training session. The pie eating contest at the fair is July 16 and assistance is needed. The Extension Homemakers will benefit New Directions and Hospice. Homemaker of the Year nominations are due Sept. 4.
Happy Birthday was sung for Marilyn Beaver and Barb Bohman.
Members signed to be hostess for next year and the program books were completed.
Volunteers for the food committee were Katie Spreckelson, Donna Flint, Regina Osborn and Connie. Marilyn Davis will continue with flowers and cards.
Next meeting will be July 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Bard Bohman.

Floyd N. Gruell, of Rushville, will turn 90-years-old Sept. 22, 2012.
He is a 1940 graduate of New Salem High School, and he later married Ruth Ann Austen Nov. 26, 1944. -
