Greensburg —
Modern Trends Home Extension Club met June 19 at the home of Kathryn Schoettmer with eight members present.
President Carol Firsich opened the meeting with the members saying the Creed and pledge to the flag. Lucille Wenning read the thought. Roll call was answered with members naming their maternal and paternal grandparents and some interesting history along with their answers.
Ann Stagge, song leader, led the members in singing, "You Are My Sunshine."
Kathryn handed out the new books for 2012-2013.
Marilyn Strasburger read the minutes from the April and May meetings and they were approved as read.
Members had a discussion on ideas for Achievement Night; many good ideas was discussed for a speaker or entertainment. More on this at the next meeting.
Meeting closed with the Club Prayer.
Next meeting will be the annual pitch-in picnic at the home of Mary Preble at 6 p.m. July 19. Members to bring a covered dish and table service.
