Annie Ricke was hostess for the June meeting of the St. Maurice Community Extension Homemakers.
Annie led the prayer before a pitch-in meal. All the food was delicious, as always.
Elaine Nobbe, president, presided over the meeting.
All recited the club creed and the pledge to the flag. Roll call was answered by six members with their grandmothersÕ names. The secretary's and treasurers reports were given and approved. Evelyn Kramer read the thought of the month.
The song ÒShine on Harvest MoonÓ was sung by the group.
Items were brought for New Directions, and we also had a white elephant salt which netted the club $84, helping out our treasury.
Rita Hellmich and Eileen Fisse reported on the recent council meeting. The Homemakers conference took place June 13 to June 15. Rita attended, participating in the style show.
The fall Achievement night is set for Oct. 4.Ê
Rita made a quilt block to take to conference for the 100th anniversary of Extension Homemakers . The club will guard the building at the fair from 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday, July 15.
The Madison district fall retreat will be Sept. 19 and 20.
Rosie Wenning reported she had made 64 puppy pillows, and they are ready to stuff.
We will be stuffing the pillows Tuesday and Wednesday, July 17 and 18 at the Fairgrounds.
Rosie gave a very interesting health and safety lesson on Atrial Fibrillation.
Some of the symptoms include fast heartbeats, uneven pulse, shortness of breath, fatigue and dizziness.
The new yearbooks were filled out as well.
The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 5, with Rita Hellmich serving as hostess.
