Greensburg —
The Linger Awhile Extension Homemakers met recently at Lincoln Street Grill to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the club.
The food was delicious and the evening very enjoyable.
In a short business meeting, president Paulette Duerstock related information from the June County Extension Board meeting as follows: Be aware of the many changes in the fair schedule. Puppy Pillows will be stuffed and sewn together for Riley Hospital Tuesday and Wednesday of the fair. Our club is to be at the Farm & Home Center from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 13. (Several ladies volunteered to fulfill this role.) Paulette and Rosemary will be helping with "Plants" in the open class exhibit.
Also, to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Extension Homemakers a picture of our club is requested.
Switzerland County will host the Fall District Meeting Aug. 22.
Program books for 2012-2013 were distributed to those present.
The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. July 25 at the home of Rosemary Schroeder and the lesson, "Staying Healthy in the Summer Sun," will be presented by Paulette Duerstock.
