Dear Editor:

Greensburg — The perfect family. There is no such thing. All of us are dealing with some problem or a multitude of them. Many of us are seeking answers to our problems and frustration comes into play. We live in a sinful world and temptations continue to lead us astray. So why not seek the answers in an environmental designed to give you what you are seeking? No, it is not the local bar and grill or out in the woods or on a golf course.

God created the world and all the people in it. Darwin tried to answer our origins by his evolutionary theory. There are too many holes in this theory to make it fact. If you read the Bible, at some point it will all start making sense and a faith that defies description will change you and give you the answers you are seeking. The problems in life will not go away but you will see them in a different light and you will also have a helper to see you through them. His name is Jesus Christ. I can testify to this as I was once looking for answers and looked in the right place, which was church. Like many of you, my life was a mess. The answers did not come right away, but persistence was the key. If more people would start looking for their answers in a church there would be less turmoil inside and more joy in discovering a peace that defies our human limitations. We are finite beings but God is infinite, and this is where faith comes into play. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word. The problems will keep coming but Christ has already won the battle. So find a church, get involved, and the journey will begin to a happier, more joyful life.

I already know most of you are looking for answers in the wrong places will not do what is suggested above. I have been there. It is your life style you are afraid of losing. When I answered GodÕs calling (He has been calling to you all along), I found out that what I was afraid of losing did not matter anymore. You may not realize it, but a seed has just been planted that may be useful to you later in life when your life seems hopeless.

I only write this because the world is getting more and more chaotic and people are falling away from God and turning to the world for their answers. All you will find in the world are more questions. I encourage all to write their own views, positive or negative. Do you have something on your mind you are not afraid to write down?

    Dear Editor,
Bravo, State Senator Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg)!
Thank you for authoring Senate Resolution 10, establishing a legislative study committee to examine the causes of and solutions for higher-than-state-average unemployment rates and lower-than-state-average per capita income in certain Hoosier counties (New Castle Courier Times, Jan. 24).
