Aaron Michael Hoffman, infant son of Christopher Michael and Katherine Lynn Newby Hoffman of Muncie, passed away at birth Feb. 19, 2013, at Community Hospital in Anderson.
Aaron’s brief life was celebrated by his parents, two sisters Tori and Abbey; maternal grandparents John David and Cora Newby of Greensburg; paternal grandfather Mike Hoffman of South Bend; his paternal great-grandmother Shirley Dawson of South Bend; eight aunts and uncles, and seven great-grandparents.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Shirley Hoffman, and seven great-grandparents.
Aaron and his family participated in the research study being conducted through Duke University to examine anencephaly and other tube defects.
Memorials in honor of Aaron may be made to the Duke Center for Human Genetics, NTD Research Fund, Box 3445, Durham, NC 27710. Also the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation, 2305 East Araphoe Road, Suite 220 Centennial, CO 80122 (www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/donate/).
Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greensburg, Father John Meyer officiating. Burial follows in Hebron Cemetery.
