Greensburg —
Hubert J. “Willy” Wilhoit, 68 of Greensburg, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Hubert was born in Greensburg April 2, 1944, the son of James and Bertha Wilhoit.
He graduated from Greensburg High School in 1963. On June 26, 1964 he married Martha Artmeier at the First Baptist Church in Greensburg.
Hubert worked at Cummins Engine for 30 years until his retirement in 1994.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Eagles, and a past member of the Sons of the Legion, Alma Taylor Foundation, and used to coach youth baseball and football.
Hubert was also very involved in the Main Street Greensburg organization and helping to start the Farmer Market.
Survivors include his wife Martha, his sister Ruth Skotzke, his brother Danny Wilhoit, and many other close family and friends.
Hubert was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers William A. and Carl R. Wilhoit.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012 at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home.
Hubert’s funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, also at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
