Leonard C. Voris, 79

Greensburg — Leonard C. Voris, 79, passed away on Dec. 12, 2012 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville. Leonard was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, June 28, 1933 to Emmett and Helen (Lieman) Voris.

Leonard graduated from Osgood High School. He joined the United States Army and served overseas.  He was a member of the Napoleon Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Osgood, and the Scottish Rite Cathedral. He worked for BCA in Greensburg, he was the plant superintendent at American Manufacturing in Greensburg, and he worked for James River in Greensburg.  

Leonard married Betty Lutes on Oct. 30, 1955 in Napoleon, and she survives.

Other survivors include his three daughters; Vickie (Jesse) Nice, Salem, Bonnie Ploeger, Holton, Jennifer (Geraldo) Linarducci, Napoleon, one sister; Phyllis McKittrick, Versailles, one aunt; Bettie Eckels, North Vernon, seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 13 4 to 7:30 p.m. with a masonic service at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 14 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. LaJo Dunbar officiating.

Burial will follow at Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles.

Memorials can be made to the Napoleon Methodist Church.
