Arthur Stephen Potter, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, Mar. 5.
He was born on September 27, 1942 in Oakland, CA to Floyd and Betty Potter. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Potter; son William Virella; daughter Shannon Potter; mother Sherry Potter and three granddaughters Lindsey, Chyanne and Willow. Other survivors include step-children Mary Newhart and Donnie Geis, grandchildren Kody and Grayson Newhart and in-laws Bob and Ellen Kilgore.
Arthur was known as a savvy businessman, entrepreneur and friend to the community. He has owned and operated several businesses. His latest business venture was with Adkins Medical Group working with compression therapy.
He was a light-hearted, fun loving individual. He was a man with the ability to light up the room with his presence. He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends and the community.
A memorial gathering will take place from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday at the Community Church of Greenwood, 1477 W. Main Street. Rev. Robert Potter will conduct a Celebration of Life service at 3 p.m. at the church.
