Jouett L. Six, 92

Greensburg — Jouett L. Six, 92, of Connersville, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Caroleton Manor.

He was born Jan. 20, 1920, in Bath County, Ky., to Tom and Lizette Calvert Six.

On July 9, 1939, he married Helen Gudgell, also of Bath County, Ky.

He was a highly decorated veteran, serving with the U.S. Army during the Second World War, stationed in the European Theater.

He worked in metal plating and maintenance with American Kitchen and was part owner of Cain Heating and Air.

He is survived by a daughter: Wilma (Hank) Meyers of Connersville; a son-in-law: Harold McIntyre of Columbus; a brother: Harold (Marion) Six of Louisville, Ky; a sister-in-law: Louise Six of Cynthiana, Ky.; four grandchildren: Jim Meyers, Doug (Dawn) Steinker, Kim Gindling and Jennifer Getz; and five great-grandchildren, Chris Steinker, Megan Gindling, Blake Gindling, Hutton Getz and Grady Getz.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, parents, a daughter: Jeanette McIntyre; and a brother: F. M. Six.

Graveside services will be conducted by the Fayette County Veterans Council at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, at Dale Cemetery; arrangements are being handled by Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home, Connersville. Family and friends may visit anytime at millermosterrobbins.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Association or the Fayette County Veterans Council.
