Betty Page Green, 80, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at Major Hospital in Shelbyville.
She was born March 23, 1932 in Newport, Va., the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Philliskirk. She married Ebert S. Green July 31, 1948.
Betty spent most of her life Shelby County, and loved working in her flower garden. She especially enjoyed helping her family and friends in whatever needs were presented. She retired from the former IPC plant in Shelbyville after 20 years of employment.
Betty is survived by three children: Cathy (Dennis) Koch, of Rushville; Jim (Karen) Green, of Shelbyville, and Mike (Lorrie) Green, of the state of Washington; six grandchildren: Fred Hauk, Tracy Green, Christina Green, Timothy Green, Jamie Green and Shelley (fiance’ Dustin Runnebohm); 17 great-grandchildren: Paige (Matt) Williams, Tyler Cole, Michael Hauk, George Hauk IV, Ian Hauk, Katie Hauk, Tyler Tillison, Kirsten Nolan, Kristian Nolan, Kylea Lloyd, Eli Green, Kalie Green, Christopher Jones, Austin Runnebohm, Tarik Runnebohm, Jonathon Green and Dylan Green; and two great-great-grandchildren: Korree Jones and Chance Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Shelbyville. Funeral services begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26 at the church, Tim Green officiating. Pastor Seth Taylor will assist with funeral services.
Burial follows in Miller Cemetery.
