Catherine R. Sherman, 45
Catherine R. Sherman, 45, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, Dec.1 at the Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Care Facility in Columbus.
She was born Dec. 28, 1963 in Decatur County, the daughter of Donald and Anna Marie (Thompson) Schwering. She worked for Marsh Supermarket for 28 years and was the office manager for 10 years. She also worked at Dairy Point for 2 years.
She is survived by her parents: Donald and Anna Marie Schwering; Two Sons: Jeremy and Dustin Sherman both of Greensburg; One Daughter: Amanda Sherman of Greensburg; Five Sisters: Cindy (Richard) Schlarb Greensburg; Carolyn (Greg) Roszell of Westport; Monica (Jan) Gunter of Batesville; Becky (Brian) Wagenblast of Jarvis ONT. Canada; Jenny (Jeff) Friend of Westport Four Brothers: John (Vicki) Schwering Greensburg, Joe (Karen) Schwering Osgood; Ben Schwering Greensburg & Robert Schwering Milford. Many Nieces and Nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by One Sister: Kim Schwering.
Friends may call at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Sunday Dec. 6 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday Dec. 7, 2009 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Msgr. Harold Knueven officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to family in care of the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home.
