Timothy Mark Jeffries II, 25

Timothy Mark Jeffries II, 25, of North Vernon, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 28 at St. Vincent Jennings Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, Dec. 3 at the First Baptist Church in North Vernon with Dave Ison officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home and from 9:30 am until the time of the service Thursday at the church. Interment will be at Vernon Cemetery.

Born on February 21, 1984 in Martinsville, Mark was the son of Timothy M. and Janet Saucerman Jeffries. He graduated in 2002 from Martinsville High School. During high school he ran cross country and was involved in 4-H showing pigs, sheep, and cows. Mark started while in high school as a volunteer firefighter. His junior year he started his basic training for the National Guard. He finished his senior year. He always wanted to serve and help others. In 2004 he transferred to the United States Coast Guard and graduated from the USCG Training Center in Cape May, NJ and the USCG Training Center in Yorktown for Maine Port Security “A� School. Later in 2004 through 2005 he participated at Washington D.C. in the Joint Task Force Presidential Inauguration. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and any outdoor activities. On July 1, 2005 He married Danielle Day and together they had a son, Timothy Kaiden Jeffries. He was hired as Deputy Sheriff in July of 2008 and he graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in May of 2009.

He is survived by his wife Danielle and son, Timothy Kaiden Jeffries both of North Vernon; his parents Timothy and Janet Jeffries of Martinsville, three sisters, Casandra, Courtney, Catlin Jeffries, and a brother, Jaylen Jeffries all of the Martinsville; paternal grandparents, Cliff and Patty Jeffries of Noblesville and maternal grandparents, Jerry and Violet Saucerman of Eminence.

Memorials may be made through Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home to the Kaiden Jeffries Education Fund.
