Howard L. "Leeboy" Harrison, 76, Westport, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28 at Reid Hospital in Richmond.
Born Nov. 22, 1933 in Westport to Clinton and Sarah (Stegner) Harrison, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. He was a self employed excavator. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and going to their ball games.
He married Betty L. Foster on June 5, 1954 in Greensburg, and she survives.
He is survived by wife, Betty L. Harrison, Westport; two sons, Roger L. (Jean) Harrison, Westport, and Tony L. (Stephanie) Harrison, Deputy; grandchildren, Clint (Jane) Harrison, Greensburg, Kelli Harrison, Indianapolis, Katie Harrison, Westport, Brad Harrison, Westport and two great grandchildren, Cameron Schwartz, Westport and Raygan Harrison, Greensburg, Indiana
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Maxine Bishop and Edith Fay Powers and three brothers, Robert Harrison, Fred Harrison and Bill Harrison.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service on Tuesday at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Malone and Rev. Judy Malone officiating. Burial will follow at Westport Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
