Gerald Dean McKinsey, 42, of Greensburg passed away Feb. 1, 2013.
He was born July 23, 1970, in Shelbyville, the son of Harlan McKinsey and Faye Hogsten McKinsey. Gerald was a 1989 graduate of Greensburg High School. He worked for M.P.W. at the Honda plant and had also worked at Gecom for more than 20 years.
Survivors include a daughter: Kayla McKinsey; son: Keegan McKinsey; mother: Faye McKinsey; Grandma: Beyreda Dickerson; sister: Ellen (Shawn) Scudder; brothers: Jeff (Linda) McKinsey, Mike McKinsey; companion, Janie Anderson; niece, Melanie Seeley; nephews: Adam Scudder, Jack and Myles McKinsey, Logan Fields, Blake and Corbin Hudgins; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father: Harlan McKinsey; grandparents: Jack Dickerson, Ernest Hogsten, and Harlan and Marcella McKinsey.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6.
Funeral services begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, with Rev. Dawn Barnes officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date.
