Douglas L. Bowman, 61

Greensburg — Douglas L. Bowman, 61, of Greensburg, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Richmond, Ky. on July 10, 1951, the son of Zach R. and Jessie Marie (Moyers) Bowman.

He graduated from North Decatur High School and then attended the Southeastern Career Center in Versailles for two year.

He was a mechanic at the former D&R Machine Shop and he also farmed and was a truck driver.

He was a member of the Clarksburg Christian Church. He loved antique tractors and was an avid trap shooter.

He was married to Rose Ann Lecher Aug. 18, 1978 and she survives.

He is also survived by one daughter, Tara Bowman, Greensburg and one brother, Edward B. (Alicia) Bowman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.  

Funeral Services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, Rev. Jerran Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
