Ralph W. Littell, 91

Greensburg — Ralph W. Littell, 9,1 of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at the Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.

Ralph was born Oct. 7, 1921 in Greensburg, the son of Waldo Littell and Ida Mae Littell.

He married Mary Walke March 30, 1946, and she preceded him in death Dec. 17, 2010.

Ralph attended Greensburg Schools; he then served in the US Army during WWII.

Ralph spent most of his working life as a painter for Hillenbrand Industries in the factory. Some of his hobbies included: woodworking, crossword puzzles, small crafts, camping, hunting and spending time at flea markets and yard sales.

Survivors include his son Charles (Darlene) Robbins of Columbus, his sister Vivian Klene of Greensburg; two grandchildren: Glenn (Amy) Robbins of Scipio and Kellie (Greg) Dooley of South Bend, six great- grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Mary, his parents, his grandson Gale W. Robbins, and three sisters: Viola Sparks, Lillian Hull and Lilas Ryon.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home.

Ralph’s funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, also at the funeral home, Pastor Douglas Bauman officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana or St. Mary’s Cemetery Association.
