Clifford “Bud” Little, 84

Greensburg — Clifford “Bud” Little, 84, Westport, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at Jennings Health Care Center in North Vernon.

He was born on Aug. 3, 1928 in Jennings County, the son of Clifford Ernest Little and Helen (Yeager) Little Reed. He was born and raised in Jennings County and had been a Westport resident since 1964. He had worked for the Decatur County Parks and Recreation Department for 14 years and the Decatur County Highway Department for three years.

He had served with the US Army where he was stationed in Korea. He married Betty Jo Eggenspiller in Vernon, March 5, 1954 and she preceded him in death Dec. 20, 1998.

Survivors include his sisters: Bonnie Phillips of Seymour and  Sharan (Virgil) Woodson of North Vernon; his step-sister, Gloria Smith of Seymour and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Leslie C. Reed; his wife, Betty Jo Little, his sister, Thelma Maxine Marcum; his brother, John Henry Little; his step-sisters, Fern Cole, Raymona Todd and Illena Anderson; his step-brothers, Lionel “Bud” Reed and Richmond Reed.

Funeral services begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport.

Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery with military graveside services.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Westport Volunteer Fire Department.
