John Amos Marshall, 95

John Amos Marshall, 95, of Westport passed away Monday, March 15 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital at Greensburg.

He was born in Ripley County on October 6, 1914 to Wilmot Henry and Iola (Judd) Marshall. He was raised in Rush County and has been a Westport area resident since 1931. He had retired in 1976 from Golden Foundry at Columbus after 34 years of service.

He is survived by his sister Frances Low of Westport, his nice Ellen (Johnnie) Callahan of Westport and several other Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Charles H. Marshall, Perry G. Marshall and Elmer F. Marshall; his sisters Selma Williams, Goldie Selby, Hazel Morris and Anna Louise Case

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home at Westport with Pastor Roger Walby officiating.

Burial will be in Westport Cemetery.

Friends and Family may call at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association through the funeral home.
