Barbara Joyce Dale, 78

Greensburg — Barbara Joyce Dale, 78, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was born March 24, 1934 in Decatur County, the daughter of Harold and Genevieve (Hatton) Scripture.

She married Larry N. Dale Sept. 1, 1957.

Joyce was previously a resident of St. Paul. She worked as a bank teller and assistant manager for 42 years at Shelby County Savings, retiring in 1996.

She was a 1952 graduate of Waldron High School, and she had been a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church for more than 70 years. Joyce loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Lisa M. (Thomas) Steuver, of Bright; three brothers: James Donald (Pat) Scripture, of Batesville, David Scripture of Greensburg, and Adrian (Karen Scripture of St. Paul; two sisters: Charlene (Jim) Walls of Zionsville and Janey (Tony) Livingston of St. Paul; and three grandchildren: Olivia Jane Steuver, Victoria Joy Steuver and Charles Neal Steuver.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Danny Scripture.

A time of visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 East Franklin St., St. Paul.

Funeral services begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, Rev. Dawn Barnes officiating.

Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery, St. Paul.
