Letha L. DeLay, 92 of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, peacefully at her home.
Letha was born in Greensburg July 30, 1920, the daughter of Leonard and Gertrude Coy.
She was a 1939 graduate of Sandusky High School. On June 15, 1946, she married Bernard DeLay, he preceded her in death Aug. 15, 1998.
Letha worked as a clerk at Hunter’s Pharmacy and also as a typist for the Welfare Department.
She enjoyed going to church, quilting, embroidery, and in her later years simply watching traffic out her window. She was a member of the Sandusky Methodist Church and also attended the First Church of God in Greensburg.
Survivors include three sons: George (Ruth) DeLay of Columbus, Bob DeLay of Greensburg, and Richard (Chloe) DeLay of Greensburg; one sister, Martha Jean Cartier; one brother, Hugh Coy; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, and her parents.
A visitation for family and friends will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13 at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home.
Letha’s Funeral Service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, also at the funeral home.
