Dale E. Hamer, 63 of Greensburg, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at his home.
He was born June 21, 1949 in Greensburg, the son of Charles Robert and Hilda Maxine (Doggett) Hamer. He was a 1967 graduate of Greensburg High School and served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He was a factory worker at Delta Faucet, retiring in 2011 after 40 years. He was a member of the Greensburg American Legion and the Eagles.
He loved going on his four fishing trips a year, and when he was not fishing he was playing cards.
He is survived by one son: Michael (Mandy) Hamer of Greensburg; three sisters: Diane (Roy) Preston of Greensburg; Deborah (Tom) Walterman of Greensburg,; and Lisa (Kevin) Conwell of Westport; two brothers: Dallas (Linda), and David (Sarah) Hamer both of Greensburg. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Shaley, Logan, Tristen, and Niles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home.
Funeral services begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 21, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in South park Cemetery.
