Harold L. Ferris, 82, of Indianapolis went to be with the Lord on August 24.
Harold was born December 21, 1927 in Letts to the late Everett and Jennie (Hamer) Ferris and was also preceded in death by his Rosella Smith and brothers Kenneth and Carl Dale Ferris. He was raised in Westport. Harold was a Group Leader for Allison Transmission Division of General Motors for
42 years retiring in 1992.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Marjorie 'Marge' A.(Schoettmer) Ferris, sister Betty Hogg, sister-in-law Beverly Ferris, and Ina M. Ray and brother-in-law Larry and Lura Mae Schoettmer and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and two great great nieces and nephews.
Calling with be held Thursday August 26, 2010 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd North Dr. Indianapolis, IN 46228 with a Funeral Service on Friday August 27, 2010 at 11 AM with one additional hour of calling prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Methodist Hospice Yellow Rose Unit. Entombment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery. The family would like to extent a special Thank You to the Methodist Hospice Yellow Rose Unit for their love and care that was given to Harold and the family in this time of need.
