Sharon L. Cook, 75, of Rushville, passed away on Sunday, Mar. 7 at her home.

Sharon was born July 16, 1934 in Franklin County to Lewis and Francis (Speer) Davison. She married William L. Cook on July 17, 1952 and he preceded her in death on January 30, 2004. Sharon graduated from New Salem High School in 1952. She was a teller at the Rushville National Bank. She then became the secretary of the Rush County Hwy. Dept. and retired from there after many years.

Sharon leaves behind her mother, Francis Davison of Connersville; two sons, Gary L. (Debbie) Cook and Gregory A. (Linda) Cook of Carmel; one brother, Donald Davison of Rushville; two sisters, Phyllis (Mark) Tinch of Connersville and Janice (Paul) Gerrian of Laurel, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her father and husband, Sharon was preceded in death by her son, James Cook, in 1966.

Visitation was held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Moster Mortuary. A funeral service was held 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 10 at Moster Mortuary in Rushville, with Mark Simmermon officiating. Burial was at Hopewell Cemetery following the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
