Mary Josephine Wahlman, 86, of Butlerville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at her residence.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Sawyer – Pickett Funeral & Cremation service in North Vernon.
Rev. Donald Buck and Rev. Richard Burcham will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 and Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graham Baptist Cemetery.
Born Sept. 29, 1926, Mary Jo was the daughter of the late Clay and Letha Quillen Kinman.
She was later adopted by the late George and Daisy Pribble Schumann. She married Ronald Wahlman Nov. 14, 1945, and he survives.
In addition to her husband, Mary Jo is survived by a daughter, Leanne (Vince) Rettig of Greensburg; three sons: Larry (Judy) Wahlman of Dupont, Richard (Susan) Wahlman of Butlerville, and Joseph (Jill) Wahlman of North Vernon; sister, Shirley Burns of Owensboro, Ky.; brother, Howard Kinman of Louisville, Ky.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harvey Kinman; sisters, Rosa Webster, Opal Haines, and Mabel Ashby; and granddaughter, Karen Wahlman.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of Jennings County, Graham Baptist Cemetery or Graham Baptist Church.
