James Victor Harper, 93, passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 in California.
Born July 29, 1918 in Greensburg, he was the son of James and Junuetta (Boring) Harper.
He had worked for General Motors and was a UAW member.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was married to Laura A. Kendrick July 3, 1942, and she preceded him in death April 13, 2001.
He is survived by four sons, James Harper, San Diego, Calif., Stephen Harper, San Diego, Calif., Russell Harper, Scottsboro, Ala., Greg Harper, Hollister, Fla.; one daughter, Judith Harper, Indianapolis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. James Jones officiating.
Interment will be in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
